Queer Yeshiva is recruiting new Teaching Roshim 

Deadline: 9PM January 3rd 2026

Interviews will take place from the 5th - 16th of January. There will be 1 round of interviews, each interview should last no more than 1 hour

Queer Yeshiva is looking for new Teaching Roshim to help shape, support and facilitate Torah and Talumd learning across our community. This role is for someone passionate about Torah and Talmud committed to QY values and excited about radical pedagogy.

The new Roshim will work closely together and be mentored by our current Teaching and Pedagogy Roshim from January until the Summer Intensive 5786 before taking the lead.

Responsibilities

  • Shape accessible and empowering Torah learning

  • Support and guide QY teachers

  • Help Co-coordinate teaching at QY

  • Hold QY values in all teaching and design
    Collaborate on the vision and direction of QY

What You Bring

  • A love for Torah 

  • Some basic Torah knowledge 

  • Experience teaching at a QY intensive 

  • Commitment to QY values

  • Strong facilitation and pedagogical design skills.

  • Ability to guide and support teachers.

  • Understanding of accessibility practices in learning spaces or an openness to learning and instilling these practices with support from the course. 

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to attend online monthly rosh meeting

  • Community-oriented

  • Thoughtful and reflective teacher 

  • Flexible and responsive as needs evolve
